The Mr Ashram West Leather 2008 Contest was held at the Faultline Bar in Los Angeles, February 23rd, 2008. Three contestants competed in a close contest for the coveted title. The winner of this contest will automatically compete in the Mr LA Leather contest held on Saturday March 29th, 2008. This contest is sponsored by the Los Angeles Leather Coalition as part of a celebration of the leather community. A special thanks to Rough Trade in Los Angeles for great looking gear made with attention to detail and unbelievable craftsmanship! Ashram West is a Gay-centered Spiritual Instruction & Literature Fellowship with Other Gay Spiritual Aspirants. Ashram West was founded in 1997 and incorporated as a non-profit, 501(c)3, religious corporation in 2001 to inspire and guide gay-identified persons to personal fulfillment and spiritual enlightenment. The teachings of Ashram West are based on traditional Hindu Tantra that encourages the integration of all aspects of life with spirituality, including sexuality. Tantra teaches that our fundamental nature is pure, perfect, and divine, and one specialty of Tantra is a whole body of spiritual technologies for developing greater awareness of the our true divine Self. |
